Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault in Brighton last month that left a man with serious injuries.
Investigators have been told a man was driving along Normanby Street about 12.30pm on 30 March and came up behind a male on an electric skateboard.
The man in the car beeped the skateboarder, letting him know he was behind him for safety reasons.
The skateboarder approached the vehicle on The Esplanade, banging on the car and verbally abusing the passenger and driver.
The driver got out to try to calm the situation down before walking back to his car.
The offender struck the man multiple times from behind and continued to assault him when he fell to the ground.
The male then skated off toward Brighton baths in the Elwood direction.
The 64-year-old Brighton man suffered significant injuries including a fractured eye socket causing him to lose part of his vision.
The offender is described as aged in his late teens to early 20s, medium build and was wearing a white t-shirt, grey shorts and Nike shoes.
Investigators have released images of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
