Police are appealing for public assistance following a head-on collision at Stonehaven on Monday 1 July.
Police have been told a maroon Ford sedan was travelling west on the Hamilton Highway when it veered onto the wrong side of the road about 2.45pm.
The Ford collided head-on with a grey Ford Ranger travelling east-bound which then struck a power pole.
A 64-year-old male driver of the Ford Ranger and his 14-year-old male passenger, both from Bannockburn, were airlifted to hospital where they remain with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford sedan, a 30-year-old Ocean Grove man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
Bannockburn police are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage.
Investigators are also hoping to speak to any witnesses that may have seen the maroon Ford sedan seen travelling from Ocean Grove to Stonehaven prior to the collision.
