Police are on scene investigating a fatal car crash in Jindivick this morning.
It's believed a Hyundai SUV was travelling along Jindivick-Neerim South Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree sometime overnight.
A passer-by discovered the crash about 7.15am and immediately called emergency services.
The male driver, an 84-year-old, Pakenham man, died at the scene.
He was the sole occupant in the vehicle.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and investigations remain ongoing.
