An investigation is underway following the fatal shooting of a man in the state's Southern Region overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Murrumbateman Road, Murrumbateman, about 10pm (Monday 9 August 2021), following reports a man had been shot.
On arrival officers from The Hume Police District found a 52-year-old man suffering a fatal gunshot wound.
A 52-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and has been taken to Yass Police Station where she is currently assisting detectives with their inquiries.
