Fawkner Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for public assistance after a woman was sexually assaulted in Greenvale.
Investigators have been told a 25-year-old Greenvale woman was walking along a track on Kirkham Drive about 7.45pm on 13 October.
As she walked past Kinloch Grove and headed towards Somerton Road a man started following her.
He sexually assaulted her before running off along Kinloch Grove and was last seen running down Castlehill Avenue.
The offender is described as late teens to early twenties and with a tanned complexion.
He was wearing a black jacket with green inner, black t-shirt, grey pants with a stripe and black shoes.
Investigators have released CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
