Detectives from Darebin Crime investigation Unit are appealing for assistance from the public following a glassing in Northcote last month.
Investigators have been told a 20-year-old Reservoir man and a 21-year-old Eaglemont man were drinking at a licensed premises on High Street about 8.45pm on Friday 13 September.
A man approached the 20-year-old and an argument ensued.
The man then left the victim but returned a short time later with a number of other people and a fight ensued.
During the fight the 20-year-old was hit with a glass which shattered and caused a deep cut to his head.
The Eaglemont man received minor cuts from the glass.
The offenders then fled the scene.
The first offender is perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 20-years-old and about 180cm tall. He was wearing a black hat, red jacket, black jeans and white shoes.
The second offender is perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 20-years-old and about 170cm tall. He was wearing a light coloured top with a grey jumper and dark pants.
Police have released images of two men that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
