Police Investigate Port Melbourne Fire

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire at a business in Port Melbourne on 4 January.

Emergency services were called to Salmon Street about 8.40pm after reports of a fire.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze which is being treated as suspicious.

No one was injured during the incident.

A woman was seen walking towards the fire just prior to it being ignited and leaving the area on foot once the fire was well alight.

She is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, 25-45-years-old, blonde hair, slim to medium build and was carrying a white bucket.

Investigators have released footage and an image of a woman seen on the side of Monash Freeway at 8.34pm.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
