Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Ravenhall this morning.
Investigators have been told a motorcyclist collided with the rear of a truck on the Western Freeway, near the Robinsons Road exit, just before 8.30am.
The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old Melton man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but sadly died in hospital.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck was uninjured and stopped at the scene.
