Police are appealing for public assistance and dashcam footage as they investigate a road rage incident where a man was assaulted in Roxburgh Park last night.
It is understood a man was travelling north on Sydney Road in a black Volkswagen Golf sedan when a group of motorcyclists drove erratically in front of him about 10.30pm.
There was an altercation between the driver and the riders at the intersection of Sydney Road.
Police were told the riders assaulted the 46-year-old Donnybrook man, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The riders then caused significant damage to the car, smashing the windows before fleeing the scene on their bikes towards Pascoe Vale Road.
They remain outstanding at this stage.
