Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious collision in Hazelwood North this morning that left a man fighting for his life.
Investigators have been told the driver of a white truck travelling south east along Hazelwood Road struck a pedestrian walking along the road just before 3.30am.
The truck driver, a 38-year-old Gormandale man, stopped at the scene and rendered assistance.
The pedestrian, a 19-year-old Hazelwood North man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Traralgon Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling along Hazelwood Road at the time of the collision to come forward.
