Police investigate stabbing in North Richmond

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a stabbing near North Richmond train station earlier today.

It is believed a man was stabbed on Victoria Street about 10.25am on 31 August.

The 53-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The second person involved fled the scene on foot and is yet to be located.

Officers are investigating whether they are known to each other.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.
