Police Investigate Suspicious Fires At Moliagul

Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance surrounding four separate suspicious fires in Moliagul this month.

Emergency services were called to three separate scrub fires near the Wimmera Highway, Cherry Garden Track and Bealiba-Moliagul Road about 4pm on 5 January.

No one was injured and the fires were quickly extinguished.

Emergency services were also called to a scrub fire near O'Brien's Dam Road about 6pm on 11 January.

This fire was quickly extinguished, and no one was injured.

Investigators believe all of these fires were deliberately lit inland near dirt tracks at these locations which are not visible from the road.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone that may information, dash cam footage or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
