Police Investigate Suspicious House Fire in S. Brisbane

Police are appealing for witnesses or any vision in relation to a suspicious fire at a home in South Brisbane overnight.

At 12.45am this morning, July 17, emergency services were called to a house fire on Mollison Street.

Three occupants, one 23-year-old South Brisbane man and two 22-year-old South Brisbane men, exited the premises without injury.

Police have declared a crime scene and investigations remain ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.

Early investigations indicate the house fire may be linked to a vegetation fire that occurred in a garden bed around 1:30am, July 17, on Hocking Street.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the fire to come forward.
