Police Investigating After Body Found - Homebush West

An investigation is underway after a body was found in a residential property in Sydney's west.

About 11.30pm yesterday (Friday 9 May 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Courallie Avenue, Homebush West, following reports of a concern for welfare.

On arrival, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command located the body of a 65-year-old body of man in the home.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Auburn Police Station.

The two men are believed to be known to each other.

Police have established a crime scene which will be forensically examined.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command, with the assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, have commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
