A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway after the body of a man was located in bushland on the state's South Coast.
Emergency services were called to McNee Street, Broulee, about 4.50pm yesterday (Sunday 2 February 2020), after a man walking his dog found a body in nearby bushland.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Police are yet to identify the man, who is described as being aged between 45-55, and was found wearing blue jeans, a blue singlet top and white running shoes.
Strike Force Henrick has been established by local detectives and will be assisted by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death, which is currently being treated as suspicious.
As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone with information surrounding the man's identity to come forward.
Detectives are also appealing for anyone who may have seen a purple Honda Jazz in the Broulee or Batemans Bay area over the past three days.
The vehicle, which bears ACT registration plates, has since been seized for forensic examination.
