Police Investigating After House Fire - Belfield

Police are appealing for information as they investigate the cause of a house fire in Sydney's south west.

About 1.50am today (Monday 12 August 2024), emergency services were called to Michael Avenue, Belfield, following reports of a fire.

NSW Fire and Rescue worked to extinguish the blaze, while neighbouring residents were evacuated as a precaution.

The house was found to be unoccupied and there are no reports of injuries.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
