An investigation is underway following the shooting of man in Winston Hills last night.
About 10.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 2 October 2024), police were called to Dale Place, Winston Hills, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command arrived to find a man had been shot four times on various parts of his body.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 28-year-old man at the scene before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition where he remains under police guard.
A crime scene was established into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
About 11pm, officers were called to Redbank Road, Northmead, following reports of a car fire.
Officers attended and found a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV well alight.
Fire & Rescue NSW attended and worked to extinguish the blaze; however, the car was destroyed.
The vehicle was seized to be forensically examined.
A second crime scene has been established and inquiries are ongoing.
