An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a home in Newcastle early this morning.
About 4.30am (Wednesday 29 January 2025), police were called to Lake Road, Elermore Vale, following reports of shots fired.
On arrival, officers attached to Newcastle City Police District found projectiles had struck the front of a house and a vehicle.
There were no reports of injuries.
A crime scene was established and subsequently examined by specialist police.
An investigation into the incident is underway by Newcastle City Detectives.
Initial inquiries suggest the shooting is targeted and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
