Police Investigating Robbery At Gladstone

Police are investigating an unarmed robbery with violence this morning in Gladstone.

Around 5.30am this morning, a 58-year-old Gladstone Central man was waiting for a taxi on Roseberry Street when he was approached by an unknown man.

The man threatened the 58-year-old man and demanded his wallet, before assaulting him.

He stole the man's backpack and wallet and fled the scene on foot.

The 58-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
