Police Investigating Serious Kings Meadows Crash

Police are investigating a serious crash at Kings Meadows yesterday afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to Quarantine Road about 3.20pm Sunday after reports a Toyota Hilux had left the road, and crashed into two parked cars before rolling onto its roof.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped for some time, before being taken to the Launceston General Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Quarantine Road and Opossum were closed for about 4.5 hours as a result of the crash.

Early investigations suggest inattention may have been a factor in the crash.
