Investigations are underway following an unlawful wounding incident at Tallebudgera this afternoon, January 8.
Police and emergency services were called to a Trees Road property around 12pm following reports of shots fired.
Initial investigations indicate a 33-year-old woman sustained a gunshot to the centre of her back.
The 33-year-old woman was transported by paramedics to Gold Coast University Hospital with a life-threatening injury.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing.
