Detectives from Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating a shooting incident at Berserker yesterday afternoon, March 5.
Emergency services were called at approximately 12.30pm, to reports gunshots had been heard from inside a house.
Initial investigations indicate a 40-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg following an incident at a Peter Street address.
The man was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.
Police believe those involved are known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Police urge anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist investigations to come forward.
