Police Investigating Shooting Incident At Beenleigh

Police are investigating after a man was shot during a break-in at Beenleigh overnight, April 10. 

Initial investigations indicate that around 9.55pm a group of offenders have attempted to gain access to a Logan River Road business, before they were interrupted by a man and woman at the business.

The offenders have then shot the man in the leg, before they fled the scene on foot. 

Emergency services arrived a short time later, and the 51-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The 51-year-old woman was not physically injured. 

A crime scene has been declared at the business and investigations are ongoing to locate those involved. 

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or CCTV/dashcam to come forward.
