Police Investigating Wounding At Brisbane City 6 July

Detectives have charged a woman following an alleged assault in Brisbane City this afternoon.

It will be alleged at 1.30pm an altercation occurred between two women who are known to each other on Turbot Street.

It will be further alleged during the altercation one woman received stab wounds to the cheek and neck from a pair of scissors.

The offending woman fled the scene however she was located by police a short time later in Ann Street.

A 20-year-old Marsden woman has been charged with one count of acts intended to maim, two counts of possession of dangerous drug (methylamphetamine and cannabis) and one count of possession of drug utensils (scales). She will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 8.

A 34-year-old Brisbane woman was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
