Police Investigating Wounding At Fortitude Valley 23 July

Queensland Police have arrested a man following an alleged wounding incident in Fortitude Valley early this morning, July 23.

Emergency services were initially called to a Wickham Street address around 3am following reports of a woman being stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located 35-year-old woman with an injury to her neck, and she was transported to hospital in a non-life threatening condition.

Officers also located a 30-year-old man nearby, who was taken into custody without incident.

A crime scene was declared at the Wickham Street address, and anyone with information or relevant vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
