Police Investigating Wounding At Fortitude Valley 27 August

Detectives have declared a crime scene at a apartment complex in Fortitude Valley after a wounding this afternoon, August 27.

Emergency services were called to the Warry Street address around 1:30pm following reports of a woman being stabbed.

Upon arrival, a woman in her 50s was located with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been transported to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital for treatment.

A man in his 60s is currently assisting police with enquires.

Officers believe the two are not known to each other.

Detectives are appealing to anyone with information or relevant vision to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing.
