Police Investigating Wounding At Manunda

Police are investigating after two people were injured following an alleged disturbance at Manunda this morning, July 4.

At around 5:30am, police were called to a property on Mayers Street following reports of an altercation involving multiple people.

Upon arrival, police located a man in his 30s with life-threatening wounds to his abdomen.

He was transported to Cairns Hospital in a serious condition.

A second man in his 30s sustained injuries to his head and torso and was located at a residence on Alfred Street.

He was transported to Cairns Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway.
