Police Investigating Wounding At Maroochydore

A 15-year-old Forest Glen boy has been charged and another boy remains outstanding following an alleged assault in Maroochydore yesterday, August 19.

Police were called to reports of an alleged altercation between two boys and a man at the Maroochydore bus station on Horton Parade around 2.45pm.

It will be alleged the 45-year-old Maroochydore man had been kicked in the head and stabbed once in his thigh.

The man was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial investigations indicate the boys and the man are not known to each other.

The boys allegedly ran from the scene but one of them was located at a property on Bungama Street, Maroochydore around 8.30pm.

He has been charged with one count each of common assault and wounding.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Children's Court on August 20.

Police are continuing to work to locate the second boy allegedly involved.
