Police Investigating Wounding At Southport 30 August

Police are investigating after a 42-year-old man was located with a stab wound to his chest at Southport this afternoon.

Around 12.20pm police were called to toilets at a shopping area at Marine Parade where the injured man was found.

He has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital where it is believed he is in a stable condition with a non-life threatening injury.

A crime scene has been declared in two locations including the toilets where the man was located at Southport and also an area in Welch Street.

No one has been taken into custody at this time.

Investigations are ongoing.
