A man has died after being shot by police at Kirwan overnight, July 6.
Just after 10pm, a 46-year-old Cranbrook man allegedly attended Kirwan Police Station and threatened officers with a knife.
Police shot the man and immediately rendered first aid. He died a short time later.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Ethical Standards Command will investigate the incident with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
