A man has died after being shot by police at Colosseum near Gladstone.
The incident occurred at a rest area, 20 kilometres south of Miriam Vale, around 10.50am today.
The Bruce Highway is closed at the site in both directions and diversions are in place.
Welfare matters are being addressed for the officers involved in the incident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Ethical Standards Command will investigate the incident with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
