An investigation is underway after a man suffered stab wounds at an unit block in Sydney's south this morning.
Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were called to John Street at Mascot shortly after 6am (Wednesday 29 December 2021), and found a man with multiple wounds to his upper body.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.
A crime scene has been established at the unit with a canvass due to begin of the surrounding neighbourhood.
The location will undergo forensic examination by specialist officers.
Detectives hope to speak with the man once he is well enough.
