Police have located the body of a man following an extensive search and rescue operation at Beardmore Dam, St George.
Around 2pm on Sunday January 12, a man aged in his 40's was reported missing, after he dived into the water and failed to resurface.
A search and rescue operation was launched, involving water police, specialist officers, aerial assets, and partner agencies.
The body was located in the water within the search area, just before 6am this morning, January 14.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
