Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 28-year-old man in relation to an armed robbery at Rochedale South on March 31.
Just before 11.20am, police were called to a break and enter at Belconnen Street at Rochedale South.
Initial investigations indicate a resident has disturbed a person armed with a knife in their home, who threatened them before leaving the scene on foot.
The 73-year-old male resident then followed the person while a second resident, a 69-year-old woman, called police.
Police immediately attended, locating a man nearby and taking him into custody.
The 28-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent, armed robbery and wilful damage.
He was remanded in custody and is next expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 22.
