Police have charged an 18-year-old Burpengary man following two alleged armed robberies in Deception Bay on Saturday night, June 17.
It will be alleged at approximately 5.30pm, the man entered a Stamp Street home through the garage armed with a knife.
He allegedly threatened a 50-year-old man, who was home at the time, demanding vehicle keys before leaving the scene on foot.
The occupant was not physically injured.
It will be further alleged at approximately 7.30pm, the man attended a nearby fast-food restaurant on Deception Bay Road armed with a knife, where he threatened staff and demanded money.
The staff complied and were not physically injured.
A short time later, the man was observed leaving a neighbouring business and was arrested without incident.
The 18-year-old Burpengary man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and enter dwelling whilst armed.
He is expected to appear at Redcliffe Magistrates Court today, June 19.
