Police Lay Armed Robbery Charges At South Brisbane 28 February

Police have charged two teenage boys following an alleged armed robbery at a South Brisbane business last night, February 27.

Two boys allegedly entered a business on Grey Street around 6.25pm, stole items and ran away on foot.

Around 7.15pm, it is alleged one of the boys, aged 14, returned to the same business armed with a knife and demanded money from a male employee.

It is alleged the boy obtained cash from the business before leaving the scene on foot with a 17-year-old boy, who was waiting in the front entry.

During the incident, a bottle of alcohol was allegedly thrown at shelving.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

Police located and arrested the boys shortly after on Grey Street.

A 17-year-old Holmview boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and stealing.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Children's Court today, February 28.

A 14-year-old Upper Coomera boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and stealing.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Children's Court on March 7.
