A 23-year-old Beenleigh man will today face 42 charges after being arrested by Sunshine Coast detectives on Friday, February 7.
Around 5am on January 14, a 41-year-old woman was reversing a car out of her residence on Newry Road at Mountain Creek when the man allegedly approached her, threatened her with a gun and stole her vehicle.
The man also allegedly broke into a house on Memorial Drive at Upper Coomera just after 6am on January 23. He was confronted by the residents before allegedly threatening them with a screwdriver, finding a set of keys and stealing a car parked at the address.
On January 27, the man allegedly approached a 46-year-old man who was working on his car outside a Bli Bli Road residence around midnight. The man allegedly threatened the man with a gun before stealing his car.
He was also allegedly involved in a range of other incidents on the Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane, Coomera, Richlands and Beenleigh.
Detectives conducted a search the man's property and found several items allegedly involved in these incidents, including two stolen cars and two shotguns.
The 23-year-old man has been charged with 42 offences including armed robbery, unauthorised use of a motor vehicle, stealing, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possess shortened firearm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, serious obstruct police and other drug-related offences.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
