Police Lay Assault Charges At Stafford

Police have charged four adults following an alleged assault and break and enter in Stafford overnight.

It will be alleged a group broke into a Wayland Street address at approximately 6pm on April 12, where a confrontation occurred with the resident's occupant, a 43-year-old Stafford man.

Police will further allege the victim sustained a minor stab wound to his shoulder from a pair of small scissors and he was punched multiple times in his head and stomach.

The alleged offenders subsequently stole several personal items from the home and attempted to flee in a white MG HS SUV when they were intercepted and arrested by responding police.

A 37-year-old Fortitude Valley woman, 20-year-old Brisbane man, 47-year-old Fortitude Valley woman and a 39-year-old Brisbane man were charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, assault occasioning bodily harm while armed (small scissors) and common assault.

The 37-year-old woman and 20-year-old man are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 14.

The 47-year-old woman and 39-year-old man are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 30.

Investigations are ongoing.
