Police Lay Charges After Explosions, Fire At Gosford

A man has been refused bail to appear in court tomorrow charged over two fires in Gosford.

About 2.20pm yesterday (Thursday 5 December 2024), emergency services were called to an office building on Donnison Street following reports of several explosions.

A short time later, police were called to a separate office building on Donnison Street following reports of a fire.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District arrested a 66-year-old man at a home in Wallarah about 1.30pm today (Friday 6 December 2024).

He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with two counts of destroy/damage property with intent to endanger life.

The man, from Wallarah, has been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 7 December 2024).
