A man will appear in court today charged over the alleged sexual touching of three young girls in Sydney's south west between 1988 and 2018.
In February this year, police received reports that two girls – aged 7 and 10 – had been sexually assaulted by a man known to them.
The matter was referred to detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, who commenced an investigation under Strike Force Elbora.
Police later received an additional report from a woman, who had allegedly been indecently assaulted by a man known to her when she was a teenager between 1988 and 1992.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives attended a home at Moorebank and arrested a 73-year-old man about 9am on Thursday 1 April 2021.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with 11 offences including; three counts of sexual intercourse with child under age of 10 years (DV), four counts of produce child abuse material, two counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age, observe person in private act without consent-aggravated, and sexual assault-assault & commit act of indecency.
Police will allege in court that the man sexually touched the girls on multiple occasions between 1988 and 2018.
He appeared at Liverpool Local Court the same day, where he was granted strict conditional bail to reappear at the same court today (Thursday 27 May 2021).
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
