A man has been charged with assault and furious driving after a motorbike rider was hit by a car in Sydney's inner-west on Friday.
About 10.45pm (Friday 20 March 2020), a 23-year-old motorbike rider was allegedly confronted by a 57-year-old man in Concord. The older man allegedly tried to push the rider off his bike and then followed him in his car for about two kilometres, before hitting him with his car and driving away.
Officers from Burwood Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene on Ian Parade, Concord.
The rider suffered cuts and an injury to his back and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
About 8.25pm Saturday 21 March 2020, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Northcote Street, Mortlake, and seized a number of items, including a car and clothing.
Following extensive inquiries, the driver was arrested at Burwood Police Station yesterday (23 March 2020), where he was charged with drive furiously cause bodily harm, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has been granted conditional bail, to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday 1 June 2020.
