The female driver of the four-wheel drive was not physically injured. The 4-year-old boy remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Ongoing investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit led to the arrest of a man on January 14 who was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, endangering children by exposure, possession of a knife in a public place, driving with a disqualified licence, driving unregistered and driving uninsured.
