Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to an attempted sexual assault in Darwin City earlier this week.
Around 11:45pm on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a woman who was allegedly assaulted while she was asleep in the vicinity of Mitchell Street.
A short time later, police arrested a 46-year-old man.
He has now been charged with attempt sexual intercourse without consent and further remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
The man and woman were not known to each other.
