Police Lay Charges - Collie Incident

Bunbury Detectives have charged two men in relation to an incident which occurred in Collie on Sunday 14 July 2024.

About 8:15am, police received information regarding a man being shot in Clifton Street. The man – aged in his 30s – received gunshot wounds to both his hands and attended Collie Hospital.

Following inquiries, detectives charged a 21-year-old from Collie and a 34-year-old from Australind, with;

• With intent to cause grievous bodily harm or prevent arrest attempted to strike any person with a projectile.

Both men are due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court today, Friday 19 July 2024.

Detectives wish to speak to anyone with any information relating to this incident, or who saw a black Holden Caprice sedan in Collie on the evening of Saturday 13 July 2024, or the early hours of Sunday 14 July 2024.
