Northern Territory Police have charged an alleged Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member with domestic violence offences.
Around 7am on Thursday 29 November 2024, Gangs Taskforce officers arrested a 38-year-old male in relation to an aggravated assault upon his partner.
Immediately after the arrest, a search warrant was executed at the males accommodation during which $1,400 cash, methamphetamines and cannabis were seized along with Mongol Outlaw Motorcycle Gang supporter clothing. The male is believed to be a member of the Mongols Outlaw Motor Cycle Gang located in Darwin.
The offender has since been charged with Aggravated assault, Make threats to kill a person (in connection to the domestic violence against his partner) as well as Attempt to pervert justice and drug offences.
He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court on 22 January 2024.
Detective Superintendent Lee Morgan of the Drug and Organised Crime Division said " Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs have absolutely no place in our community. Their presence causes untold social and financial harm to the vulnerable and we will continue to disrupt them at every opportunity.
"We strongly encourage anyone who has information on gang activity to report through 131 444 or anonymously through 1800 333 000".
