Northern Territory Police Force members of Strike Force Lyra have charged three offenders in relation to an alleged domestic violence assault on a man in Darwin's Northern suburbs over the weekend.
On 26 January, Police received multiple reports relating to a prolonged assault leaving a man unconscious in a public car park in Karama.
Darwin general duties police deployed to the scene and arrested one man and subsequent enquiries with witnesses led to the identification of the outstanding offenders.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
Strike Force Lyra continued investigations with the support of the Fugitive Task Force, resulting in the successful location and arrest of another man and a woman.
All three alleged offenders have now been charged with Recklessly endangering serious harm, Engaging in violent conduct, Aggravated assault and Armed with an offensive weapon at night. All offenders are scheduled to appear in Darwin Local Court at later dates.
