Police Lay Charges - Innaloo Incident

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man in relation to an incident which occurred in Innaloo on Tuesday 23 July 2024.

It will be alleged, about 4am, a number of male persons forced entry to a home on King George Street and assaulted the 68-year-old male resident.

The persons stole an amount of jewellery before they left the scene.

The resident managed to contact a neighbour for assistance and police were notified.

He was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with serious injuries; however, has since been released.

Following inquiries, detectives charged a 29-year-old Butler man with;

- Aggravated home burglary and commit,

- Aggravated armed robbery, and

- Aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is next due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday 5 September 2024.

A vehicle has been seized which will be forensically examined.
