Police Lay Charges - Lockridge Assault Incident

Midland Detectives have charged a 43-year-old man with several offences in relation to an incident that occurred in Lockridge this morning, Thursday 3 October 2024.

About 2am, police received reports of the man allegedly causing a disturbance at a unit complex on Arbon Way.

It will be alleged the man struck a male victim – aged in his 40's – with a hammer on the shared driveway.

The victim was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital via St. John WA for medical treatment.

Subsequently, it will be further alleged the man forced entry inside a unit and had a physical altercation with a male occupant, damaged several power boxes in the complex and damaged other personal property.

Police arrived a short time later and the man was quickly apprehended.

A 43-year-old man from Lockridge has been charged with:

• 1 x Grievous Bodily Harm

• 1 x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit

• 1 x Common Assault

• 10 x Criminal Damage and Destruction of Property

• 1 x Breach of Protective Bail Conditions

He's due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court today, Thursday 3 October 2024.
