Police Lay Charges - Sexual Assault In Darwin 26 August

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to an alleged sexual assault at East Point last week.

On Thursday 22 August 2024, police received a report from a woman that she was allegedly sexually and physically assaulted on Monday 19 August 2024 by a man, who was known to her, in the vicinity of Lake Alexander, East Point.

An investigation by the Sex Crimes Unit was commenced, and a 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with Sexual intercourse without consent, Aggravated Assault and Depravation of Liberty. He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
