Northern Territory Police have charged a 15-year-old female youth in relation to property offences in Alice Springs CBD late week.
At 11:50pm on Wednesday, a group of three offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a business on Todd Street by damaging the front entrance.
The group fled the scene before returning the next morning, accompanied by two more co-offenders.
Police responded to reports of the unlawful entry however, the group fled upon police arriving.
Strike Force Viper members identified the female from CCTV images and arrested the youth yesterday.
The youth was taken to the Alice Springs Watch House and later charged with:
- Unlawful entry x 3
- Stealing
- Damage to property
She was bailed to appear in court today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Robert Kent said "Strike Force Viper members will continue to target property offenders who create excess stress and problems for business owners in the Alice Springs Town Centre.
